Final Task- Filming and Editing Blog

Sonali and I have yet to start the filming process. This also means we also have yet to start editing. Sonali and I decided to officially start filming when our spring break starts which is March 18. We decided that break is the best timing for both of us.We both have different schedules going on at the moment, school, and do not live super close by each other. Spring break will give us the time to actually go to our different settings and film without interruption. However, we are starting to get the props needed for our opening sequence. We do not need a lot of props but the main props we need are duct tape, rope, and paper. Also, I am going through family videos that consist of my sister which is gonna be the victim of the kidnapping. If I am lucky enough to find family videos that works best with the opening sequence, we will use them in the film. Sonali and I decided using family videos within the opening sequence will make the kidnapping look more realistic. Even though we are not officially filming we want to start planning out which setting to go to first and practice our scripts so we can be prepared. Being prepared will make the filming process go smoother and faster which means no time will be wasted. The preparation for the film is a key part of an easy filming process. Sonali and I decided that we will start filming early during the day just in case we need to retake some scenes so it will not get dark while we're filming. We are also going to see if any of the locations we chose to film needs permission to film there. We have yet to choose any background music so we will be figuring that out too.We have a little more work to do before starting to film which is also another reason why we chose not to start right now. Moreover, we're both glad we did not start filming yet because we feel like the filming process would be rushed and wouldn't be showcasing our best efforts. If we were to start filming now between school, work, and personal matters we would do the bare minimum for this opening sequence. Most importantly, Sonali and I agree the filming process should consists of both of our best abilities and efforts instead of just one and break is the perfect opportunity for that.
