Finally Began Filming (production blog)
Sonali and I started officially filming on March 25 during spring break. While filming we changed many things. Firstly, we changed which park we went to. Instead of the park we originally planned on going to we ended up going to a park called Holiday Park. We chose this park because it was closer and convenient for both of us. When we went to the park two police officers were there. We informed them that we were filming for a class project just to be careful. They said it was perfectly fine to film. Then, we asked could we possibly have them or their car in our film to make the kidnapping seem more realistic. Sadly, the police officers declined so we didn’t film anything with them. It was so hot that day of filming. We were all sweating and tried to only take one video for each scene. However, at least two scenes took three different takes to come out correctly. We all ended up taking turns to film but it wasn’t enough people. Sonali and I decided to ask our friend Starr to help film and she even played the part of a bystander in one of the scenes. We changed the scene that consist of the kidnapper shoving the little girl in his car to something more easier. That scene shows the kidnapper shoving his victim in his trunk instead of inside the car.We only got to film at one setting which was the park because that setting is the only one that needs to consist of both Sonali and I. We spent almost two hours filming because we were so prepared we barely made any mistakes filming. The only part Sonali and I struggled with was staying serious while filming. This was the only reason why we had to film certain scenes again.
