Editing Softwares (Production)

Production

Sonali and I have not started editing anything because we did not start filming anything yet. However, we are figuring out what editing software to use and what websites to use to find background music. To edit our film we chose the application called iMovie. We chose this app because we are both familiar with it and know the features of this app. IMovie is also a good editing software and easy to use. It has all the features we need to edit a film. It has options for background music, different title fonts, and many more features. Sonali and I have not chosen who's editing the film or if we are going to split it into 1 minute of editing for each of us. We already know that our biggest struggle from editing might be getting exactly 2 minutes for our opening sequence. Also, we do not want it looking like a trailer of a movie so we have to pay attention to how we're editing the different scenes. Another thing we are trying to avoid while editing is making the film look like the beginning, middle, or ending of a film. To avoid these things we have to edit them correctly which is another reason why iMovie was chosen as our editing software. The next software we are going to use is called photoshop. We are using photoshop to put my sister's information on a missing person's flyer. This way we can print it and already have all the information on it. I chose photoshop because that is the only app I could think of to accomplish a realistic missing person's flyer. However, as a backup option we could use an app called instagram. Instagram has features that would allow us to copy and paste information on a blank missing person's flyer. The app is not as easy to use as using photoshop but it can accomplish my sister's missing person's flyer too. Overall, Sonali and I know what softwares we are going to use for editing but we have yet to find a website that has good background music that fits our film's theme.
