Editing The Opening Sequence (production)
Sonali and I decided to split up the editing process of our opening sequence. This means that Sonali edits one half of the opening sequence and I edit the other half. This way we both contribute to the editing process. Also, so there will not be pressure or stress which would happen if only one person is doing all the editing. I chose to edit the ending of the sequence because it consist of most of the scenes I filmed without Sonali so it was just easier for me to edit the ending. I only have five scenes to edit so far and the hardest thing is to make sure the scenes flow. I had to switch some scenes around to make it flow better and seem more realistic. I edited the lighting in most of the scenes to fit our opening sequence genre. We have not completely finished editing because we still need to film a couple more scenes. On April 11, Sonali and I will meet up and finish filming and editing scenes. We will film the scenes that consist of the titles in them. After, we will then start editing together and see if we need to change anything. By change anything I mean reorder the scenes or add/subtract more scenes if we need to. Also, we are making sure our opening sequence stops at the appropriate time which is 1:59. Sonali and I are both using an app called iMovie to edit our opening sequence. However, Sonali is using her laptop to edit and I am using my phone to edit. To me it is easier to edit on my phone compared to my laptop. We plan on uploading our opening sequence on Youtube by April 14. This way we can embed the video on our blogs by April 15. Then, we will have enough time to check each other blogs to make sure our YouTube video is embedded properly.
